## What it is

PhoneLive is a cloud service that bridges a live video/audio stream to the
telephone network. It is not a hosted PBX and not a robocall dialer. Three
things happen on one phone number:

1. **Outbound when you go live** — PhoneLive watches your existing RTMP stream
   (the same key you already send to YouTube, Facebook, OBS, Boxcast, Resi, or
   Zoom). The moment you go live, it automatically calls your subscriber list.
   Whoever answers is in the service.
2. **Inbound any time** — anyone can dial your PhoneLive number to hear the
   broadcast live, replay the most recent one, or browse an archive.
3. **Broadcast without a stream** — call in from any phone or upload a
   recording to send alerts, updates, prayer lines, or devotionals.

## Common questions

**What is a church phone system?** A phone number a congregation calls to hear
live services, sermon replays, and prayer lines — with automatic outbound calls

routes calls to staff, it carries the ministry itself.

**Do listeners need internet or a smartphone?** No. Any landline, flip phone,
